Drupa 2016

Drupa, Düsseldorf, Messe vom 31.05. – 10.10.2016

Our working time frame 28.04. – 18.06.2016

Drupa 2016, the World’s biggest and most important trade fair for print and cross media solution with 260000 visitors from 188 countries was one of our biggest projects over the last years.

We have been part of an international organization team responsible for overall IT and network, Wi-Fi and IT support as well as the technical setup of one part of the exhibition, the HP Large Format printing portfolio.

After several month of organization, we started on 28th of April with the actual setup in the empty hall 17 of the Düsseldorf fairground with the goal to have a show with a spanning size of a football field ready by the 31st of May, 2016.

20km of network cables, more than 100 PC’s and screens, 22 Wi-Fi access points running 4 different networks, a bunch of solved different technical issues, many many kilometers in our legs and not counted hours later, the light was on at the first day of the show to welcome visitors and customers.

Francois Martin, HP’s worldwide marketing director HP Graphics Solutions Business stated Drupa 2016 as a landmark show for HP and that HP was experiencing the best attendance at any Drupa ever and with sales not only surpassing 2012 results by 20%, but exceeding our 2016 ambitious goals by 25% overall.

Nearly 2 weeks of amazing show for customers and smooth running show in terms of technical issues and support requests showed that we have done an awesome very good job.

That has been proven by a statement of Eyal Amit, HP project manager Drupa 2016, who said: “Being a very professional is not something everyone can do – but we can find those suppliers if we look good enough. But being very professional, executing in calm while smiling like the comXpert people – this is  very rare to find, and the most fun people to work with! So thank you for being such a fun partner to work with, during such intense project!”

The last members of our team left the Duesseldorf fairground at the 18th of June. The hall was empty and we have been exhausted but happy and looking forward to the next one in 2020.
